Care, Lubrication & Sterilisation
To maintain optimum performance and prolong the life of the handpiece, it should be cleaned, lubricated and sterilised after each use.
Oiling Instructions — Remove the bur before maintenance. Wipe the exterior clean, then apply an approved dental handpiece lubricant to the appropriate lubrication or drive port. Run the handpiece briefly after lubrication to remove excess oil before sterilisation.
Autoclave Instructions — After cleaning and lubricating, place the handpiece in a suitable sterilisation pouch and steam sterilise in an autoclave in accordance with your practice protocol and manufacturer guidance. Allow the handpiece to cool and dry fully before use.
Important Care Advice — Use only approved dental handpiece oil. Do not immerse the handpiece in liquid disinfectant or place it in an ultrasonic cleaner unless specifically approved by the manufacturer. Always remove the bur before cleaning, lubrication and sterilisation.
